Should I replace my resonator with a pipe?

My friend did it woth his Jetta and it sounds really nice and loud. I have a full borla exhaust on my rx8 but its not really loud. I want to make it louder and delete the resonator.

Would this make it louder?
Would my exhaust shoot flames?
Would this harm my car?

If you delete the resonator it will be raspy and sound like ****, but probably be louder. You'll have to loose the cat to have some flames. Any you don't shoot flames. Every now and then you'll have soem little pops of flames.
