path to turbo...

All I have done so far is the borla exhaust and a green air filter.
I'm getting a nice tax refund and I wanted to put a bit towards my car.
I plan on adding turbo in about another 20k miles(when warranty is up) what mods can I do now that will prepare me for the greddy turbo?
I was thinking about a midpipe or computer
If there is a thread on this i missed it so please point me in the right direction.

I really wouldn't do anything else at this point in terms of power. Depending on what kit you get, it may already come with a computer.

You can do the midpipe (both turbo kit come with the turbo manifold) as kits go up to there. But most kits will come with the plumbing (air intake, exhaust manifold/header) & like RG said some of the kits do/will come with the piggyback ECU system. You did the exhaust already.

Fanman,

Are you happy w/ your SR Motorsports Hi-Flow Cat (w/Resonator)? Was there a noticeable sound difference?

The greddy comes w/ the intercooler right?

It is top quality in terms of welds & steel. That being said I thought the perfect sound for the RX8 was when I only had the RB exhaust on it. Perfect at low revs (like stock) & high revs (throatier). with the SRM hi-flow cat & resonator it got a bit louder & wasn't as comfortable. Now that i have the turbo on it, the sound is better. I am sure with the Borla on it would be really loud.

For any of the kits, you could go ahead and buy yourself a gauge pod and gauges, and get all of that wired up. Then just swap one of your gauges out for a boost gauge when you go FI. Otherwise, you could go ahead and get yourself some wider, stickier tires to help control all of that new power you're going to get. :D

Thanks for the responses
Tires are definately on the list....
I'm just debating between the suspension kit and the midpipe.
