Noise level for mazsport duel midpipe+HKS Hi Power exhaust

Hello,

I would like to hear some opinion from your guys with the mazsport+HKS Hi Power+turbo set up on your car. I plan on installing turbo in my car and may need to upgrade the current exhaust (Hymee+stock B pipe+ Mazsport duel) with bigger diameter exhaust. I would like to know how loud is the noise inside the car witih the HKS exhaust at city and highway speed. I know the mazsport duel will quiet the exhaust loudness significantly but the HKS Hi power is very loud. Is this a livable set up? I do not want to be mark down by cops for loud exhaust. I want 3" piping exhaust and there are very few available for RX 8.

Anyone with video would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

i have this exact setup, when it was n/a noise levels at fwy speeds where very quiet no drowning noise and not high pitched, city streets still quiet enough where its not anoying and i felt comfortable enough to drive in front of cops, with the turbo installed just brought the noise level even further down i would say comparable to a mild exhaust system with a cat
hope this helps....btw without the mazsport mid pipe the hks hi power is one the loudest exhaust available for the rx8 in everyway **mazsport mid pipe was a night and day difference in noise levels**

Thanks Gregs. Currently I have hymee exhaust which use existing stock B pipe and Mazsport duel pipe. I really like this set up for sound as it is not loud and sound nice outside and inside the car. However, I do not know if this set up is adequate for turbo charged application. I will be running Esmeril Turbo. From your experience, would an increase of 2.5"(is that what the stock B pipe dia is?) to 2.97" exhaust piping (HKS) help with reducing back pressure? If it is not worth doing it then I would keep my set up that I have. My friend told me to keep the set up that I have and only change it later if I don't like it. In my mind I want to get the set up right first time so I want others opinion also. Bigger exhaust let the turbo spool up quicker and I want that. What is your thought?

Thanks.

I was amazed on the difference in loudness between my stock CAT and putting on the Mazsport Dual Resonated Midpipe.. there was BARELY any increase at ALL~!

These 2 resonators are freaking huge so they are definitely doing their job.

I have mine paired with a Borla catback.

Im currently running no mufflers, just the dual mid pipe from mazsport. Super quiet, just sounds like the mazdaspeed exhaust upgrade.. then again, i doo have a turbo which does muffle the exhaust.
