Great thread, lots of good input. Looks like I'm going with the RB Revi w/ duct or the AEM, based on what everyone is saying about them.

modding cars is like that - learn from it and make a better choice next time .

but based on its design, when raining, water will still be sucked from the air duct even though they are just little rain. if the car is at high speed, the power of sucking air is getting bigger; according to this, water will probably go in....i guess not a lot water though, maybe just a little which can probably be held up by the filter....thats only what i guessed and i thought. actually i am looking to add the air duct on, just wanna make sure if it does suck water or not....

There are holes at the back of the duct at the first 90 degree bend which water can pass through. Ofcourse there will probably be some water that might make it there but it will not be in any amount that could get past the filter.

I'm thinking about the REVi intake and the RB exhaust for my first real mod. Anyone have experience with the combined effects of these two? After a few weeks of searching it seems like this is the combo I'm looking for. I'm going for mild but noticeable sound increase and a little bump for the butt dyno. Seems like each mod alone does a little. I was wondering if together the effect is magnified.

i dont have revi intake but thinking to the air duct...i have racing beat exhaust, when i just installed it, i ran out with my ride a bit and sounds not really loud but smells a little bit like burnt.....then i was told that was normal cuz the exhaust was new......then after few weeks, i found out my exhaust got a little louder and deeper than before and there is no bad smell anymore, i love it right now.......revi air duct was really good i heard, i think the combo would be a really good option for u.....i didnt buy ravi intake cuz i didnt do enough research for intakes. Since its not gonna make a lot hp, i dont care what i have for intake now and also i love my intake, looks good...

HOLY RUSTED METAL BATMAN!

That's how big the air duct is for the Revi?!?! I had no idea.

I'm thinking about skipping the Revi due to price and just getting the duct for my stock and dropping in a K&N panel. Thoughts?

Ok! First i apologize for not bringing any photos or videoclips on this thread but i will! I am a little bit like Hymee. But my trusty G-Tech is telling me that i have found some serious horsepower on my ML Wankeltrim cold air inlet. Today i have tested the prototype and it shows gains of up to 20 hp over stock intake box. First it was just like many of you said, irratic idle and when i drive it goes super lean, I have an Innovate LM-1 and it tells me about 16-18 AFR! Then i had some help from my cousine Johan that help me map the Haltech Interceptor to as is see it a good fuel curve from lamdba 0,80 to 0,90. The car seems stronger in the lower rews where we add number from-2 to 25 in some cells, then to 5-8 in the upper rews.At 7000-7500 rpm there is a noticable "ram tone" and the engine rews real quick to 9500 rpm. Last test for today was to run some 1/8 mile times on my trusty G-Tech. Last time, Thursday this week i managed with stock box an 9.66-96.3 mph. With my intake, figures was 9.39s-99.5 mph. Tomorrow i will be testing in the 1/4 mile and then on my RotoTest. I plan on marketing this intake as an Bolt On kit in Usa if there is an interest.

^^^I was all set to purchase the Odula intake that attaches to the stock airbox, until I came across this post.

Keep us informed about your developments and post a few pics when you get a chance.

This sounds promising but in the interest of transparency it sounds like Lasse is also using a piggyback ECU to get the most out of this.

Lasse can you confirm this?
