ok so i got a used B&B midpipe, put it on and had an exhast leak between the midpipe and header so i got a new gasket and it fixed it. but i think i have a small leak where the midpipe connects to the exhaust. now there is no gasket but i guess some kind of swivel joint. what can i do to seal it correctly?? tomorrow i'm goin to put it up on a lift and try and move it around a bit to see if i can get a better seal, but i would like to know about anyone else experience with this. thanks alot.....by the way the car sounds freakin awsome, its alittle louder than i thought it would be paired with the mazdaspeed exhaust but it sounds amazing

There's a donut gasket between the midpipe and catback. If it's leaking you need a new one

They sell exhaust tape/patches. It's like a strip of tape that you can use as a gasket between your pipe & muffler inlet.

Exhaust tape is for repairing cracked mufflers/pipes.

Replace the donut gasket if it is damaged or missing. If there is a crack you'd be able to tell.

a paper gasket will not work, it's shaped for a donut gasket

good news is you can get donut gaskets from pep boys/advance/autozone

thanks for the help guys, in my haste to put it in i didn't even put the rear gasket on, i didn't look at th stock pipe close enough at a glance it just looked like part of it. w/out that rear gasket the car sounded amazing but was way way too loud. with alittle bit of effort i installed the dounut gasket w/out having to take all apart again. Its now pretty quiet but i havent driven it too much since i fixed the leak, its still very streetable. The midpipe i got was one w/ the resonator and i was very impressed with the quality of it. i'll try and get a sound clip this weekend. i actually wouldnt mind haveing a slightly louder exhaust. after having the major exhaust leak which actualy sounded pretty good......it just seems quiet.
