Unfortunately, I'm not exactly gifted with knowing Japanese... I Google'd the forum for an install how to or something along those lines, but only saw reviews of the brace.

I know that the 3 things (two and one extra?) you drill into the brace are nut plates. But the place where it looks like you drill it into the brace isn't big enough for it to go into.... If anybody knows, it would be much appreciated!

This is the front lower brace? My install required no drilling. Under the front two (black) bolts shown in the attached pic, are "expansion" nuts. It works rather like the "jack nut" shown on this page: JACK NUT for metal, plastics, glass and cardboard materials | POP nuts but are much more heavy duty. Identify the two (oblong?) drain holes in the cross-piece where the black bolts will go. That's where the expansion nuts go. I think a washer goes above the nut flange (when viewed from below. Then the supplied long stud screws up into the nut. With the flange/washer "down", shove the assembly up into the drain hole. The hex bar with the hole in it fits onto the stud, then a nut is screwed onto the stud from the bottom. Holding the assembly into the drain hole with a wrench on the hex bar, use another wrench to tighten that nut. As it tightens, it squishes the sides of the insert, expanding them until the "rivet" is locked into place. Loosen the clamping nut, remove the stud, and you have a place to bolt the front points of the GTspec brace onto the car.

Once you "see" it, it's simple.

So the jack nut thing goes into the frame? I take it the drain hole is the one that all the water came out from, and is a 19mm bolt? It seemed like that long bolt was important, and supported the subframe.

Edit: Nevermind. I didn't see the oblong part the first time. Okay, I'll go play. Appreciate the help man!

Be sure to test fit the brace using the rear mounting locations and identify the proper holes to insert the expansion nut into. It's potentially helpful to have a second pair of hands - tricky to hold the assembly up and manipulate two wrenches with only two hands. I took a pic this morning, but can't upload it since the computer gurus here at work disabled all the card readers. Will do it tonight.

Shove this into the drain hole, torque nut on bottom until it's locked into place, then remove. Don't overtorque the final (black) mounting bolts.

I already got mine put on. But it might help people of the future! It makes sense when you actually look at the picture and see what is where. I think the worst thing was the instructions. It looked like you had to put the nuts on the bar itself.
