Got er back!!

With new ACT clutch and MS flywheel along with new tranny comped by Mazda of corse.First impressions are its worth every penny to replace flywheel and clutch makes a hugs launch difference.Shifting is much stronger now also.Engine just seems smoother with flywheel replacement dont know if its any faster makes revs seem even more effortless now.Now let the perf mods begin.

960 parts and my dealer loves me $0 labor.Im sure cause he was ripping out tranny anyway.I bought em 3 got rotary tshirts and you think i bought em a steak dinner.Omicron if you do any other mods make it a flywheel. And just so everyone knows stock flywheel is 20.79 pounds.Yes lighter the previous fws from mazda but still an assload of weight on the outside of it.

LOL. I'll call up my friend here in florida if anyone down south needs a tranny cooked. He's got plenty of experience with mine. :D

And I definitely agree with WTF, the flywheel made a HUGE difference in the way this car drives. I just wish I could take it out to the track. I live 15 minutes from moroso, but I work 2-midnight and my job is 1 hour away (from the track). Never enough time to get there.

Hey.. I am going to buy the MS flywheel and would like to get your analysis of what the differences are between the stock clutch and your ACT. I may purchase that as well since I am doing the flywheel. Thankx WTF!!

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of the flywheel would you?

Is it a solid piece or does it have holes drilled in it like mazdaspeed?

I am trying to do some analysis and I think people are going to be surprised how much energy is "wasted" in the flywheel.

Any description or picture would be nice would be nice.

-Mr. Wigggles

Ps. Also, is it about 12 inches wide?

Thanks dave.

I am already using those images that you have linked in the past. I just need a picture or a description of the stock flywheel.

Thanks again,

I searched, but I couldn't find the original thread where you discussed what you were going to have done to your car. Could you please attach the link? Alternately, could you please give a more detailed reminder? From your post it seems you replaced the dead transmission with a new stock transmission, the flywheel with the MazdaSpeed flywheel, and the clutch with an ACT clutch - I assume this is an Advanced Clutch Technology clutch, which one did you use? Did you look into changing anything about the transmission as well, or only the flywheel and clutch?

Congrats on getting her back a bit leaner & meaner.
