Electric throtte controller by A-RF
In the latest issue of RX7 megazine (No.27) I found A-RF is selling one ECU tuning box called 電子スロットルコントローラーTREC. They declared it can improve throttle response in low-mid rpm range. http://www.a-rf.com/
Does anyone have comments on it?

Basically the site says that this product will improve the low end response which tends to be slow with electronic throttles. THus is will increase your acceleration.
There is something to this actually. During my time away it seems as if we have confirmed that this ECU and throttle body do come from the Ford parts bin. Well that is potentially very good news for the RX-8 community. The 2005 Mustang GT runs this setup as does the F-150 pickup. Several Ford/Mustang tuners have develop ECU reflashers that work on this setup. In a recent issue of Fast Fords and Mustangs the new Stang GT greatly improved it's 1/4 mile just by relfashing the ECU... a little A/F change and change the throttle body to remain open during shifts. With a total of $2k in mods the nearly stock car pulled a 1/4 in the 12's.
So what now? Go after Sniper, SCT and the other ECU reflasher/tuners and get them to check out the RX-8. If the parts are indeed the same/similar... it may not take them much work to crack with the amount of baseline work they already have done...
