Exclamation check Engine light with K&N intake

I have the old version K&N just installed and the dsc was blinking off and on and traction light was on then I test drove it and floored it and the check engine light just came on when i got back home and turned the car off and started it and the dsc was off and traction light but check engine was still on, turned it off and started it again and nothing still check engine light, also found strange heat comming from the engine but the fans are working stll...

Please help thanks guys..

First of all, why would you want K&N version 1 ? it is CRAP. I had it, and yes its CRAP.

and try to find out whats your CEL code before posting.

Damn its hard to read it like this next time try to break it in parts or something can you do that please because I was about to throw up just by reading what you wrote ok thank you now go find our what your CEL is and post them here without it god knows what it is it might be gas cap or whatever but just go find the CEL code some auto parts store like autozone can pull the code out for you for free so just check around do not go to dealership for this

but b4 anything, I still suggest you to take that Version 1 off and put stock intake back on for now.

Exclamation engine light bad again

I reseted the ecu for the check engine light for cylinder misfire 1 went off for two days then went on again but this time its a cylinder misfire 2 I have a 2004 with 15,600 miles on it, my two mods I installed were the KNN V1 and Agency Power Crank pulley any clue guys before I change everything back to stock. please reply asap

Change it back to stock, bring it to dealership and check

what yr is ur 8 ? Mt or AT ?
