Borla V.S Agency Power cat back

I'm having trouble deciding which of the two is a better exhaust and which has a deeper tone or nicer sounding tone opinions anyone ?

After listening to the sound clips on you tube. I would have to go with the borla exhaust.

You really can't judge from video clips... you should hear them in person.
I've heard both in person many times and favor the AP.
Not to mention the AP costs less... even when combined with their mid-pipe.

I'm sure you have a lot of locals around the Chicago area.
Jump on the regional threads and ask to hear each pipe in person and judge for yourself.

I would get the TurboXS it comes with the the racepipe and it is $499.00 and it has a deep tone like the Borla and has a thick angle cut tips which look a lot better than the AP imo (unless you have a blue 8). I have two friends that have the AP and Borla and the TurboXs sounds just as good if not better. Just giving you another option.

I did a lot of research before I finally got my AP. I heard them all and deep sound was what I was looking for... GL

I hate my AP exhaust for two reasons. The tips are too short so they melted my shrouds and leave exhaust soot on my back bumper. The tips are riveted on and now rattle. So annoying. Sound is good but for those 2 reasons this exhaust was not worth it to me. I will end up getting different tips welded on. But then I won't have the sweet titanium tips.

look guy's everyone has a favorate but you have to also look at quality of construction and the usable life of any product.... borla will honor all most anything from i don't like it to the seam has split. i do like the rotary sound but on the street intimidation goes a long way. when some guy/gal comes along side you in a shelby corba and revs then you do....they look at you like holyshit whats in that thing...lol and its not overly load at regular operating rpms (cruising speed) and for clearance it will not melt shroud ie... long enough and double t304 construction.

well i knew everyone had their own preferences on which exhaust is better i just wanted opinions, my buddy has the AP exhaust and it does have a deep tone to it but personally i think torwards more for the borla its 6lbs lighter then stock and sounds descent and just like every other cat back all you can really hope for is 2-3hp increase

IMO if you have to compare youve already made up your mind about one or the other.. which either one you get is awesome bc theyre both good sounding and performing exhaust.. GL!!

While the Borla is an excellent choice in exhaust note, it bottle necks to 2.25 at the end so it is not a 3' exhaust all the way through. You will lose power compared to the AP which is 3' in all the way through.
Like I said I have the TurboXS that sounds just as good if not better than the Borla and it just as light, plus it is 3 in' all the way through with nice 4' in tips that fill in your exhaust shrouds nicer than the Borla 2.5 in tips. Anyhow, it looks like you've made up your mind and it is your money. Just my .02 Enjoy the Borla.

Negative lilring, I'm referring to the 2.25 pipes that come out of the mufler before the tips.

This quote is from the Borla website on the Rx8 Catback...Borla link

"Borla incorporates a single 3” mandrel bent inlet pipe leading to a 19” long, 10” wide transverse flow muffler. Exiting the muffler are two 2.25” tailpipe tip assemblies"

Cheers

Ohh the way that you wordered it before it seemed like your were talking about the tips alone and not the pipeing. Because the tips them selfs are 4 inches

No worries, I was just pointing out how a lot of exhaust systems seem like 3 inches all the way through but really aren't.

OP: How's the Borla? Any pics or videos?

i got my borla exhaust installed ( still have my cat on) at idle it has a nice purr to it. At low rpm/take off it has a nice deep sound. At WOT the best was to describe it is like an exotic car. I love it.
