Air Intake & Exhaust Suggestion

I have a stock rx-8 6 speed grand touring edition with a stage 3 SPEC clutch. I want to upgrade the exhaust and air intake but kind of lost of what to pick. I saw an HKS hi power exhaust in HIN magazine on an rx8 so im assuming its a quality brand. and theres and HKS air intake for like 600$$$. Can i get some suggestions?

Well you should go to youtube to hear the sound of the HKS Hi power exaust. I think youll like it if you want something loud.
Also you do realize intakes are just for sound... they only add 3whp. Better off if you go with a Cold air intake because it will give actual power, but in any intake for the rx-8 there wont be any noticeable power.

Best bet is to hear different intakes and exhausts on youtube. It'll probably be your best bet.

^I agree youtube is great for picking...like shazy said the HKS is LOUD (at least for me) and an intake may actually make u drog HP numbers depending on what u get......I recommend the custom stock airbox mod....lookin the DIY section and u will find how to do it!

I have the HKS Racing Suction I paid I think roughly $500 shipped to my house. Its a very nice set up. Complete with new box and brackets. A nice metal cover that allows you to get a peek at the beastly air filter. I felt a nice difference in power when I was driving. It has a very "beefy" sound. Its not obnixous atleast in my taste.

A fool and their money are soon parted. If some isn't going to search on the numerous threads around here on intakes and exhausts they they can go right ahead and spend twice as much money as it costs to get the best intakes for the RX8 on one that sucks in hot air and loses power!

REally do people think they are the first person to ask this question after 5 years of this car on the market?? There are some great threads already on here about this.

If someone starts a thread because they "don't feel like researching" then they deserve to be treated EXACTLY in the same manner.
why should we research the fact for them if they're too lazy to do it for THEIR CAR.
Besides, who said anything abou research, this answer is in a STICKY thread!
