Advice Needed

I just bought RX8 2007, and like to swap the engine with 13b or 20b, in order to have a powerfull RX8 in the street. In the same time am willing to use it on weekends as street car.
Any resonable and logic advice?

If you have the stack of cash to do it, then you don't need reasonable or logic advice, just do it, take pics, then let us awe at it.

Well... seeing that you just know engine code.... I'd say go with the 20b.

how much cash do you have is totally acceptable question. a 20b is totally streetable, no sweat.

do you have $30k to spend on the swap?

do you really have $10k to spend on turbocharging the rx8?

if the question to both is no, then stop wasting our time and start doing the research you should be doing regardless.

Seriously though... if you have to ask, which engine to use... you are most likely in no position to be doing a swap.

If you actually do have some cash... just go FI.

To the OP, if you have an open source for cash and really want to do this project you should have just bought an '04 with a blown motor and gone from there. Hell, you could have saved almost 10k just by doing that. That 10k would have been enough to modify the powerplant frame and get the custom engine mounts you would need.

Wait , so what exactly is the question? Being streetable or not , isnt this based on ones opinion? Unless you are talking about driving like stock. But yeah go 20b , tell me how it goes. Not like we will ever see you again anyways lol.

Do the 20B swap. It'll be the best bang for the buck.

After reading this your best option is to search, and search until your completly sure this is the way you want to proceed.

Look up in the forums for 20b swaps and contact the people directly who have actually experinced and done this job, don't say you want a swap until you have sudied the truth behind all the hazzle, many RX8 owners will love a 20b only few who have made this dream come true, so my suggest is ( STOP POSTING STUPID THREADS ABOUT WANTING TO MAKE A 20b SWAP ) do your homework and contact the right people, there's enough information in this website to get you the right people and obviously the expertise of labor, parts, shops etc... you just have to search, 70% of the people here are tired of new owners saying this and that.

You want answers ( SEARCH ) you want results ( INVEST ) you want respect ( KNOW ) get this in your head and probally you get in the right path of knowing what's reality.

good advice dood, but if someone like me stop saying like to do. you'll never get experience "EXPERT". your experience based on our back. I know what to say and what to do. If someone stop in certen level, loiality to rex, should tell the other to continue until reaching the goal. otherwise, no body will reach.
stupid posts teasing each other not supporting each other.
I might new in rotary engines, but i have what you don't even dream to have.
