Deals Gap Rotary Rally 2012..... Who's Going??
Deals Gap Rotary Rally 2012 (DGRR XII)
Date: Wednesday April 18th thru Sunday April 22nd, 2012
This event bring rotary owners from all over North America and definitely not a local event (99% out of town attendees.. including me).

Quick general itinerary..
Wednesday - Meet the volunteers and organizers
Thursday - Meet and Greet / Explore the area
Friday - Informal 150 mile drive in the morning / Damn Dam gathering/photoshoot
Saturday - Show and Shine / Free time / Infamous Banquet
Sunday - Informal Skyway rally.

Steve, you know I'll be there!! Right now the big question is on if The wife is coming or not. I wont know what kind of hotel arrangements I can make till then. Either way I am glad its starting on Wednesday this year, I drove up on thursday last year so only had 2 full days to destroy my tires.. As usual I wont be participating in the show, I dont know how anyone can have the patience to be at one of those when there are mountain roads available!
For those who dont know what this is, your missing out. 100+ rotary cars get together and drive some of the twistiest mountain roads in america! I hear the views nice too but I wasnt looking at that, LOL. Keep in mind these are public roads, with motorcycles all over the place, so doing **** like drifting out there will not be well received, by the police OR us. I have met some of the nicest car guys ever at this meet. Come try it out!!

You should!
Its the best rotary meet in the Southeast and maybe the whole U.S.
You dont just sit and stare at cars at this event...you actually drive your car, on some of the best roads in America
This is definitely an annual event for me now
By far the best I've ever been to.

I will have to see when the Texas 8 state meet is...It will fall around the same time, but the dates haven't been set.

Same for me... Don't know if the wife is going yet either. I told her its up to you if you wanna go.
I'm leaving on Wednesday also to make it up to the ATL caravan.
April can't get here fast enough... Lol

i'm going to try and make it. If i can get leave and I'm not deployed count me in! I just went to the dragon last weekend with a friend of mine who has an s2000 and i can't wait to go again!

Cool man, DGRR is by far the best rotary gathering in the US.
I'm Air Force too.... Fire Dept. currently @ Patrick AFB, FL
Deals Gap and the other roads up there are so fun.
Wished i lived up in that area cause Florida roads are flat and boring
