Hey guys heres the deal. I bout a working power steering rack for my rx-8 after mine stopped working. And after I read some power steering issue threads I cleaned some connectors and viola! my ps works again so I have this ps rack sitting in my garage. Paid $600 for it and will sell for $350 plus shipping. Thanks for looking

did your power steering sor intermittently before it stopped working altogether? mine has ben acting up lately... 3 times this week when i started my car the power steering light was on and no power steering... other times it's harder to turn one direction than the other and fades in and out... does that sound anything like what you experienced?

No, one day i had a tranny line spring a leak and it must have gotten all over the powersteering wires and my ps light came on. I actually thought the fluid from my ps came out but i thught and read up on some stuff about it and duh theres no fluid. So I just cleaned all the connectors right under the airbox which I took out with some connector cleaner i got from the local autoparts store and it worked. i went through a fail safe just in case and bought a slightly used powersteering rack( about 2000 miles on it) but now I have no need for it. Your issues might be as simple as mine or it could be your rack telling you its about to go completely. Go for the simple things first like cleaning the connectors and see what that does. If not you can always buy my rack
