CAR HAS BEEN SOLD

Time has turned me into an old man guys. I am 64 in a few months and it is time for me to let this car go. I can't even begin to tell you what this car has brought me. From getting to know people I never would have, had I not had this car, the learning about a rotary engine---you know--etc etc.
It's been a hell of a ride. No regrets, none what-so ever.
My car is for sale.
Here is info about it: Its a lot.

1- 2004 GT---single owner--purchased Dec 2003. Never wrecked. Cloth interior. Interior 8/9--normal wear , exterior 8/9
2- chassis has 93K miles.
3- Pettit built engine with MANY modifications to the oil system, port cleaning, cooling jackets etc. Engine has less than 10K miles on it. It pulls 20 inches of vacuum at idle. This engine was built with new parts with boost in mind by Cam himself..
Dynos well over 300 rwhp.
4- Pettit Supercharger system, I am running the low boost pulley --approx 7-8 psi.
I also have the higher boost pulley/belt and it goes with the car. To run it you will need bigger injectors. It has the upgraded bypass valve. the supercharger intake tube/bypass valve port has been customed worked.
5- Tuned by Steve Kaun/Cobb--very conservative tune. Very conservative. Cobb unit goes with the car.
6- Custom worked LOWER intake manifold. Runners shaped, smoothed, polished, ventilated, jet air deleted with reshaped port and VDI filled in. Throttle body has been enlarged.
7- custom exhaust system, tubular header with 3" true merge collector to custom midpipe and true 3inch to Racing beat catback. It is quiet when you are just driving but gets louder when you want it no be. NO droning. Heat shielding added.
It has a different sound to it. I have had many compliments about it.
8- new front o2 sensor (when engine was installed)
9 Series II fuel pump
10- Series II transmission with syncro saver--best shifting transmission I have ever shifted. Fresh Redline oils in trans and diff. Changed every year.
11- Act Pro Lite flywheel and new stage 1 clutch/throw out /pilot bearing when engine was installed
12- Mazmart water pump and thermostat. Secondary Radiator with its own 180 degree thermostat. This car does not overheat anywhere.
13- Flex-a-lite fan controller --this controller has many features--coolant changed yearly.
14 -spal fan on the passenger side oil cooler with console switch
15- Snow water methanol dual nozzle maf driven system with trunk mounted 1 gallon tank. Switch on console.
16- MSD 8247 ignition system --ignition system harness modification from pcm to coil with larger gauge wire and better grounds. Correct sparkplug wires--forget the name brand.
17- Boost a spark system to control voltage to the coils. The oem system only supplies 12.1 voltage to the coils. The msd coils likes 16 volts which means the coils dont need long dwell times. Plugs run very clean.
18- up grader air water intercooler with a Frozen boost coolant cooler ( much better) relocated coolant pump/ Moroso coolant tank with custom mount.
19: 1 year old red top battery. Homemade grounding kit installed.
20: relocated oil filter with summit oil filler magnet and gauge hookups. Stainless steel lines with AN fittings used. Mounted on firewall with custom mount for it and canister type windshield washer tank.
21- Silicone radiator hoses with coolant temp sensor in top radiator hose
22: Polyurethane filled motor mounts.
23: high output starter
24- custom lines/fittings in engine bay
25- small fan mounted on the pcm box to help cool it.
26-Lo Teck gauge pod with pro sport water /oil temp and Prosport mechanical vacuum/boost gauge.
27- Racing beat gauge pod with pro sport oil pressure and air water intercooler temp gauges. One empty spot with dummy gauge installed.
28- rear rotary symbol brake light
29-- rear grill inserts --looks good--polished racing beat mufflers show through!
30- Enkei RPF 1's oem size with almost new Kumo LE Sport summer tires oem size. One set of ENkei RPF 1- 18x 9.5 with hoosier R6's available for VERY reasonable price with car.
31-KW variant 3 coilovers
32- RB anti roll bars with endlinks
33- mazdaspeed front strut bar with master cylinder brace

Thats enough! I am sure I have left how some little things here and there.
I would not worry about driving this car across the country. It's solid and well sorted. It is also pretty fast

PRICE $15,000

it's a sad sad day... I'm in need of track wheels. if you decide to let the rpf1's go separately let me know. Since I can't get the car just having a little piece of it would be cool.

Dammit man.. you know you've been around here too long when you see the original posters selling their cars. Good luck on whatever you move on too.

That does beg the question... What will you be replacing the 8 with?

its never worth selling a car this modified, owners always regret it. Especially if you don't need the money.

So much love and care was put into it and the level of customization is mind boggling

Oh, pish posh!

FWIW, you have one of the youngest brains on this forum, meaning you retain kid's sense of enthusiasm, interest in new ideas, and are incessantly asking "why?".

Personally, I hope you never "grow up".

Best wishes on whatever your next project works out to be.

I can't believe that your selling out. Age has no bearing. To me your a young whippersnapper.

I wish you luck. Been good having you on the forum over the years.

Again--much appreciative fellows.
I probably will regret selling it at some point.
Who knows what may be in the future though -hehe.
Cars this built can be difficult to sale--to tell you the truth--i may not even get any true offers.

Wow didn't realize you were serious about selling! I hope someone realizes just how good a deal this is (even if it is you when you think about your 8's replacement!). You better stick around on the forums, otherwise I'll just be the crazy guy talking to myself (again).

Wow, this car has some rx8club pedigree! This is the sort of car I would be picking up if I were getting back into the RX8 scene.

Best of luck on the sale olddragger!
