Well, folks, the time has come to finally sell my beloved RX-8. I joined this forum in September 2003 and bought my RX-8 a few weeks later. I've taken care of it for 13 years, and I've loved driving it the whole time. But it's time to move on.

Here are the details:

NEW MOTOR, with only 2,000 miles. Original owner. I first purchased my RX-8 in Sept 2003, and I have taken VERY good care of it. Original motor failed at 74,848 miles, which is the fairly typical average lifespan of a rotary engine.

NEW rotary engine, and more, installed Jan 2015 by Lucky 7 Racing, one of the best rotary specialists in SoCal. Spent $6,300. They installed:

-NEW Mazda OEM Renesis Rotary Engine
-NEW Exedy OEM clutch
-NEW engine mounts L/R
-NEW ignition coils
-NEW spark plugs
-NEW vacuum solenoids (Air, VDI, SSI)
-NEW belts (AC/alternator)
-NEW ignition wires
-NEW external gaskets

New engine runs VERY smoothly (thanks Lucky 7!) with only 2,000 miles on it. Also very low actual mileage, and never raced or taken to the track.

Bought NEW Kumho Ecsta's May 2016. Exterior in extremely good, unmolested condition. Interior also extremely clean and well-maintained. Grand Touring trim with Bose audio 6-CD, moonroof, dual-color red/black leather seating and trim, heated seats, 8-way power driver seat, stability control (DSC), fog lamps, xenon headlights, Homelink self-dimming rear view mirror.

Other info: 6-spd manual, absolutely EVERYTHING works, original keys plus spare and valet keys, original carpet floor mats, all maintenance records, clean title in hand.

Note on accident reported Sept 2004: Was lightly rear-ended by a driver who fled the scene. Had to file a police report. Minimal cosmetic damage only, with no structural damage, so I elected not to do any repairs. Small dent is still in rear bumper.
