Up for sale is my 2005 RX8 Shinka edition – Auto transmission with TipTronic manual shifting.. This car has only 21,000 miles on it and is just about perfect. Never driven in winter - - garaged from Nov – May every year - I averaged about 2,000 miles per season. It runs and handles as if it were new. A few nicks on paint but nothing major - otherwise the car is very minty. I have premixed oil since it was new, the only problem ever encountered was leaky tail lights (they all had it) and that was fixed properly.

They only made aprox. 2000 of these “Shinka” editions - foam filled pillars, special leather and paint, 18” alloy wheels, sunroof, etc - so it might be very valuable in the future.

A Gentlemens’s Sports car for sure.

If it did it was nowhere near $12k (I hope). These cars are basically worthless by default, and automatics are absolutely worthless in comparison to the MT models.

They will never be valuable until they are a rare historic artifact. At this point they're just rare.

auto's are worthless and seem to have a problems due to lower rev.

Yes - the value dropped rapidly! btw .. The low rev story only applies to those who don't know how to drive one of these!
