Zaino OK for all colors?

I noticed most people are using Zaino on black or silver. Is it OK on all the colors? (I have red)

Also, are the Mica colors still clearcoated?

Would Zaino be bad for a non-clearcoated car? I'm thinking of using also it for another car, not RX8.

Thanks!

Zaino is definitely okay on all colors. I use it on my velocity red. As for whether or not the mica colors are clear-coated - I'm not really positive, but I can't imagine them NOT being so.

For non-clearcoated cars Zaino does make a wax for that. I think it might be the Z-5. You would start with the Z-5, until it is shiny, and there are no swirl marks visible. Then you would layer the Z-2 on top of that to really make it look like $1M.

Zaino has a product for NON-clearcoated cars, Z3. It's safe on all colours.

Somewhere (I think it was the manual) says that all the mica colors are clearcoated.

I have Velocity Red and I had the same worries initially so e-mailed Sal Zaino who set me straight. The car is clear coated from the factory. I used Z5 (for swirls, scratches and also for black/blue/red cars - not strictly necessary) followed by Z2 (for clearcoated car). It looks great.
