what cloth for waxing/polishing?

I've been using microfiber cloths for waxing/polishing. But somehow i am unsure whether it is a good material to apply wax. I think it absorbs the liquid (NXT) too much to the point that I don't know if it is even applying it on the car. Thoughts?

Microfiber wax pad, Griot's garage myself. I now use microfiber for most everything.

Along with Gore-tex [technically also a microfiber] it's really a miracle fiber.

Microfiber Applicator Pads <--- click

Those will work really well with any polish / wax. You could always go to your local auto parts store and get microfiber pads but they're not AS good. The store pads have stitching around the trim which can scratch if you're not careful.

Here's another site that has them for a cheaper price.

Zaino says to use 100% cotton for applying/buffing z6/z8, and I tried using a new zainio applicator pad to do it and it looks easily 2x as good as when I use a microfiber, so I wanna use cotton from now on for that.

Do any of you guys know where to get good 100% cotton cloths that are very soft and guaranteed not to scratch the paint?

Polishing cloths ???

Has anyone tried GAMGEE TISSUE ? It's a cotton wool layer between very fine cotton gauze. Its main use in for dressing injuries but it works well for polishing as it is very soft. It has to be cut to required size from a roll.

Bodywork coating ???

I am the extremely proud owner of a new RX8 and don't know whether I should put her in for the bodywork and interior treatment. I've been told thet the bodywork treatment will last 3 years then if I want it re-done the existing stuff has to be removed first. Has anyone had their car treated and what is their opinion of the treatment???
