Exclamation WHat CAN I DO?!?!

hey everyone, so i'm finally getting around to my first wax. I've been thinking about it for awhile now, but I've decided its much needed. A couple weeks ago i parked under my tree in my driveway, (i neever do this because these things fall from the tree that seem to stain anything they land on), while it was raining and to my despair i was left with thousands of little brown specks EMBEDDED into the clear coat/paint. i was pissed, but didnt have time to deal with it at the time. anyway, ive been dying to get these specks out, but im not quite sure how. i bought the meguars detailing kit today because i was informed that using a clay bar would remove these marks. When i began using the bar, (im a noob), nothing seemed to be happening. the bar would remove some light marks off, but the majority of marks still seemed to be embedded into the coat.

please someone give me a suggestion. am i using the bar wrong, or do i need a buffer? anything? please! thanks. by the way, i am using the bar with the quick detailing liquid they supplied in the kit.

thanks again

Hmm...you may want to check out http://www.autopia.org/. Excellent resource for detailing.

Meg's clay bar is a more mild bar than say the clay magic clay bar (it's blue in color and is a little more abrasive). Your clay bar is working, but it isn't one of the stronger clays out there.

If you used polishes with a powered orbital buffer you could probably get those marks out, again check out autopia.com it's a great resource.
