some little kid hit a wiffle ball about 346513465 feet into the air, only to come down on my hood, now i have a tiny dent, no paint chip though. whats the best way to get it out?? do i really need to call the dent doctor?its about 5 inches from the center mound.

Sounds like a perfect job for Dent Wizard (or any good PDR). Don't be surprised if they remove it completely, quickly, and inexpensively.

I have in the past had very small dents pop out by simply applying dry ice. But I've never done it on an aluminum part so......

The paintless repair guy can do wonders. Had my qtr. pnl. next to the wheel well repaired. Double wall pnl. and he glued a small rod like object and conected it to a slide hammer and pulled the 2 dents out!

When I bought my first 8 years ago, it had two tiny dents on the hood. They had it fixed by the paintless dent guy before I picked it up. The work wonders. Expect to pay around $75-$100 or so.

Depends on the market. In my part of the world, it runs about $50 a panel.

Well you could try DRY ICE

Yes get a small amount and mind you wear insulated gloves.
Press the dry ice at the deepest point of depression untill you see frost build up a little past the ding or dent. Then let cool off.It should pop back or if you have access behind the ding press it out softly. The metal should shrink enough to get that small ding out.If not yes get the PDR (paintlessdingrepair)Guy to come out and work his wonder.

well here is a link to the video on the demonstration of dry ice on dings.

Remember it works on some dings and dents not all.
You will at time have to use other forms of manipulation to get the surface straight.
Sometimes only good ole' body hammer and dolly or stud puller will work.

ENJOY!
