Tried out Blackfire
So I decided it was time to protect the paint in my new RX8, after some research I decided to give Blackfire a try (I'm used to using Maguire's stuff). I got the kit that includes the wash, clay and lubricant, polish, sealer, quick detail spray and microfiber towels and applicators. Took me about 5 hours start to finish, took my time and just enjoyed the process
The clay worked as advertised, it picked up some dirt even though to me the paint already looked clean.
The polish went on and off very easy. The paint looked nice and shiny, but to me it was still about the same as how the car was already. I thought I would start seeing some extra shine at this point though. Maybe I would get better results using a PC to apply/remove the polish.
The sealer was even easier to put on and take off, and this time I could really see the difference! The paint became so smooth, the microfiber towel just glided over with no resistance at all. It made the surface super slippery and the shine, clarity and depth was there. It really gave the car that wet look, while it made the flakes in the paint pop.
I do wonder how long it'll last looking like this, it went on so easy that it almost feels it did not bond and will come right off when I wash it, I hope I'm wrong! I'm also going to do another coat next weekend and that should be good for the rest of the year.
Here are some pics, too bad it was already getting dark, and now looking at the pics it really doesn't show how well it came out. Need to try to go somewhere else and with better lighting.
Thanks for looking

Blackfire its a brand of detailing products, they make tire shine, car wash, polish/wax etc like other companies. You can buy individual or in a kit. Several places online carries it, I got mine from proper auto care dot com.
