Touching up interior center console scratch (nickel finish)

any ideas how to touch up part of the center console that is nickel colored? Part of mine has worn down due to my arm resting near the sliding console cover. I'd like to not have pull the whole piece out and re shoot it with paint. Thanks guys.

If there's a DIY, I'm interested as well.

with the texture I think we will find the best solution is to take it out and get re-painted.

Any touch up will look like crap with the silver texture we have.

But let's see if you guys and gals can prove me wrong.

I had some light scuff marks on the strip on the passenger side. Not too deep but was noticeable because they ran up and down in one area. I buffed the surface with multiple coats of wax. Rubbing back and forth lengthwise (no circular motion) then let wax dry and remove then repeat (stay clear of the carpet). After doing this a bunch of times you can't even see the skuffs anymore.

The only way it will look good is to repaint the whole thing. And if your taking it out and to paint, do both sides so they match. And I would suggest a coat or two of clear for an added wear buffer.

I couldn't find any paint to match the silver, so I ordered some ti gray spray to respray mine. The back passenger side was scratched a little too much to try and do a little touch up. Careless previous owners!
