I searched and didn't find any other threads about this, so I wanted to see what your opinions on this may be.

I read this article from the LA Times: A 'green' solution for a parched, car-crazy region

EcoTouch has a similar product selling 22oz for $10.

I'm skeptical about how this would work without scratching my car's paint. The only way this would work is if you used each side of your towel once... which means having to wash a lot of towels. Still, washing towels uses less water than a car wash does.

Anyway, I stumbled upon this after noticing a skin rash on my hands after washing my car with regular car wash...

Might as well put it on the buffing pad and grind it in. Ouch!!!!

I found some threads on QEW (Quick & Easy Wash) and it seems like most people are happy with that, but it's not quite like the product I linked above.

Try ONR (Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine). It is the safest and best car wash I have ever used.

Spray bottle is not the best way. Have you ever washed car only using quick detailer? Doesn't last very long, doesn't put much water on car.

Better to do ONR plus an ONR pre-moistening spray bottle. 2 gallons ONR made from 2 oz concentrate, versus these "eco" spray bottles $10 each.

You are going to scratch clearcoat and get spiderwebs, get over it already. Just a car anyway. Don't go crazy over that minor thing.

I put ONR in a spray bottle and first mist the panel I am cleaning. Then I dip the washmit in the ONR bucket and go over the panel. You don't have to use the spray bottle, but I do anyways just to be safe.

I also use ONR, but it always leaves some solution behind because I don't dry it well enough. So I changed my method, ONR while only drying off the horizontal surfaces. Let her sit awhile, and then QD spray it.

after i wash i clay first using quick detailer and clay again using Ultimate Quick detailer, and it put a kinda "wax" coat , where water just beads right off...then every other day i use the ultimate quick detailer to keep her clean...ive gone a couple of months without washing and she looks like i just washed and waxed her

you should allways water wash your car before you do any polish ,clay bar ,wax whatever

I bought 2 bottles from Autogeek during their 2 for 1 deal... I tried the stuff and I have to admit it kind of sucks. I'd probably use it on an old car, but not my baby Unsustainable hand water wash remains the standard

i would NEVER do anything more than remove overnight dust from my car without water and soap. and even then i wouldnt do it without quick detail spray(lubricant)
