Question about clay bar?

I'm thinking about caly barring (sp, or is it even a word lol) my car . A friend of mine works for a auto shop supply company, he can get 3M clay bar.

My question is all clay bar the same? will this work?

can't find it in my local auto supply store unless i buy in a pack with instant detailer which i already have a full bottle.

I have used clay bars in the past and can tell you that the 3M variety available to dealers/shops is much better than the kind you get at Autozone. Which is Meguiars I believe.

Mothers is a very good clay bar. Most of them will work the same but if there's a mothers sitting on the shelf, just pick that up.

I just finished Claybar'ing mine (with one from a Zaino kit) - after an initial dawn wash she looked all clean and sparkly in the sun (Whitewater Pearl.) Did the claybar - could not believe how much crap was still in the paint...

Clay Magic works a lot better than mothers. mothers is sort of a beginners clay that lets you experience what a claybar can do. but clay magic woo wee... it glides and picks up more than mother's. meguiars is nice too bit the claybar tend s to be hard to knead and it doesnt glide very easily.

I have used Clay Magic and Zaino and they are pretty comparable. You can get Clay Magic at Autozone, I think.
