news paper car wash true?

news paper car wash true?

I heard of washing the windows with news paper and windex before but recently one of my teachers told me to use newpaper on the paint... will that effect the paint or body?

My first thought was to ignore this thread. But the thought of you scratching up your 8 is more than I could stand. Only use a soft cloth to clean the paint with. Something that can protect the paint from the dirt that you pick up off the car.

As for windows, my dad has always done that. It works. I don't do it though.

Teacher told you to use it on the paint. No wonder our educational system is in such a mess.

This thread now needs to die.

it is not forgiving, get one grain of sand in there and you are guaranteed of scratches

I would never think to use news paper for cleaning windows....well, anything actually.

Your windows yes, I forget the exact reason why think something to do with lint or dust or I dunno.. but I do remember the news papers are good for your windows. Now your Paint.. Slap your teacher and if anything drop the class. The teacher should of told you to just wash your car with sand paper.

sounds lame either way .. news papers are for entertainment in the crapper .. somehow im having a hard time linking crap with my car

I use alligator fat for washing. Have to try it with newspaper.

thats exactly what i thought.. my teachers is thick headed and always thinks hes right and i was like i highly doubt it. lemme ask my community of knowledge, rx8forum!

yes it can be used but on windows only...i've done it before but you always end up with black newspaper ink rubbings on your hand..not worth it..but it is the premiere choice of homeless people!

Lol its funny these teachers are teaching our children. lol.

Btw i use cheap vodka on my windows, works wonders.

Works great on windows, even took of a wee bit of overspray I picked up somewhere.

Yeah, go ahead and use the newspaper on your car's paint. It'll even make the color darker and deeper. Do it! Do it!

Better yet instead of carwash soap, use some windex, or one of those kitchen cleaner things with bleach in it

I suggest using Aircraft quality stuff. There's this product that works great on car paints. It's called aircraft paint remover. Don't be scared of the "remover" since it's aircraft paint, not car paint. Works wonders and makes your car nice and shiny like chrome (literally).

i used to clean my windons with newspaper on my previous car, yes it cleaned them good but if u take a REALLY good look at it it scratches all over, even tho u can't tell when u are not looking at it, anyways it bothered me for the rest of my life so im not planning on doing this to my eight, just my 2 cents
