Learned something new today...

The gf and I did some much needed deep-cleaning on the 8 today. I went out and purchased a Clay Bar, which I've used on other cars before. Just for the hell of it, I tried using it on a window. And OMG... I figured it would totally smear or something. But, the glass literally looks clean as new, and is perfectly clear. I'm talking clear as in if you used it on a sliding glass door, people would just walk into it thinking it wasn't even there. Works even better than the Invisible Glass spray I had been using up until then. Just thought I'd share.

Hmmm, for lubricant did you use the quick mist detailer, or did you use windex? or what?

good idea, ill give it a try

as for using windex, i dont use it or any other 'amonia' based glass cleaners on the car, they can damage paint and window tint. stick to the 'auto' glass cleaner, much safer

For the lubricant, I recommend either using the stuff that comes with it, or you can make a mixture of water + car wash soap and put it in a spray bottle. Works just as well as the stuff that comes with the Meguiars clay kit. I've gotten clay on my windows before (not on purpose) but I guess not enough to notice how well it cleans them. Ill have to give that a try.

I bought the Mother's package, which has the Clay Bar, Quick Detailer (doubles as the lubricant), and a small bottle of carnuba wax.
