Talking This is great wax Zymol Japon.

I love this stuff it is so easy to apply and buff out and looks killer and smells so good when your applying it. It also has high percentage of some very fine carnuba wax. The pre treatment HD cleanse was a bit of work but works great and look no swirls or scratching not a blem. I'm going to put another coat on soon for added protection.

Zaino not only looks wet, but makes the car paint itself feel super smooth and doesn't leave finger prints when you touch it. At least not on my sunlight silver paint.

Yea the look is wet very almost glassy if you will. Should look even better after another coat. Zymol has a neat and informative website. Also got the Oxo good grips car duster and it works great.

There's something about a Zymol-ed RX-8, when it's hosed down in the late afternoon sun to be washed. The water drops become jewels.

It just smells fantastic and perfumes your garage with those natural plant oils for days after the waxing.

The feel of the wax going on is sublime, and the feel of the paint afterwards just says "well-cared-for".

I have to concur whith that assesment Nubo this stuff smells really good. I like the fact that it is all natural, no chemicals for my 8. I think as I get multiple coats on the depth of shine will improve.

I'm very interested in why you (and Baller) keep saying this. Is it based on experience with Zaino, or by what someone else has said? For sure there are probably better protectants out there. Zaino is NOT a wax, but from my experience cost-wise, ease of use, reflectivity and durability I have not found anything that comes close to Zaino.

I know Zymol makes some very high end (expensive) waxes, some of it you apply with your bare hand. I consider that as not easy to use. As for 'All natural' - who cares? Paint is not all natural.
Zymol and whatever brand wax, are still just waxes, and wax does not HOLD UP well over time. Jay Leno and whomever has cars at pebble beach don't use these cars as a daily driver. Their cars sit in climate controlled garages 350 days a year. So WHO cares what they use? It means NOTHING to us in the real world.

Megiars NXT looks promising, but it can't be layered. I'll wait for longer usage to check durability.

I know some people complain Zaino has a 'hard' shine, I am not sure what they mean. Zaino does not really make a car shine. The shine is in the paint, all Zaino does is (through layering) add additional depth to the clearcoat. If a wax 'softens' the shine, that means clarity may be compromised.

I have no affiliation with Zaino, but after 30 years of 'detailing' my own cars, I think it is tops. If someone thinks Zaino is hard to apply, you re doing it wrong. If you think it is expensive, check out the real Zymol (not what you buy in Wal-mart).

Again, I would like to hear why you don't like Zaino. Baller doesn't like it because some celebrities laugh when you mention Zaino to them. Chances are they laugh because they don't know what it is, and don't want to say so.

Just ask the experts, Zaino does not produce the best shine, that was my point. Some of us (RX-8 owners) drive the cars only on weekends and could care less about the "long lasting" ability of Zaino. I want the shine. The truth is most people want the shine.
I have used Zaino and do not like it, people have choices today.
Do some research on the show cars of today, Zaino who?

You used Zaino and did not like it? WHY? please could you be more (or even a little) specific. As for show cars, again, These cars see the light of day but a couple days a year, and they take DAYS to detail. As for the 'experts', who are these experts? Have they ever tried Zaino (most likely no because Zaino is too easy, and they need the bragging rights of how they labored over the wax).

I'll bet there are a lot more people on this board that drive their RX-8 everyday and DO care about "long lasting" which traditional wax CANNOT supply. Traditional wax also YELLOWS which requires complete removal, a time consuming labor intensive process every 2 to 3 months (in the real world).

So please, one more time, specifically why don't you like Zaino?

Baller, I have a silver RX-8 and the depth/shine are absolutely amazing, I cannot imagine it any better, certainly not for the same price/effort of Zaino.

Zymöl - When only the best will do.
Made from the finest Carnauba wax, Zymöl is a paint protection system that has to be seen to be believed. Zymöl uses nutritive oils to replace the oils originally found in your car's finish without the use of harsh chemicals or abrasives.

Developed by a carriage maker in the German town of Bischofsheim in the late 1800s, the original formula was based on animal products. Over the years it has been refined and modified through research and engineering to be entirely plant-based.

Thousands of satisfied owners now have a completely new perspective on keeping their cars in pristine condition using Zymöl.

100% Natural

All Zymöl products are made from 100% natural ingredients. They are both user and environmentally friendly. While other chemically-based car care products leach the oils from your hands and can damage paint, Zymöl's rich natural oils feed your skin and nurture paint-finishes.

100% Protection

Environmentally friendly water-based paint now used on all new vehicles is softer and more vulnerable than the older finishes, so providing protection for you car is even more vital. Zymöl waxes form a hard film over the paint, protecting it against airborne contaminants and diffusing UV and infrared radiation.

100% Waterproof

When exposed to water, Carnauba swells and closes its pores. This leads to the beading and sheeting of water that is characteristic of a car that has been treated with Zymöl wax. "With Zymöl the car has stayed clean even through all the stormy summer weather we have had." (Quote: Dineen - 2002 BMW 330Ci Owner)

Glowing Colours

Owners are amazed at how their cars glow with enhanced colour and a depth of shine after being treated with Zymöl. Even white, a colour that normally reflects light, takes on a new richness and depth to its shine. Red positively glows and darker colours like black or navy blue take on a deep and streak-free lustre.

A Three Part System

• Washing - Zymöl Clear removes the loose dirt and road film that dulls and damages paint.

• Cleaning - HD-Cleanse, our pre-wax cleaner, removes the dead oxidised paint, ingrained road film and deposits. It unclogs the pores of paint, fills in swirl marks and restores colour through a nourishment process that no other product can match.

• Feeding - An application of hand crafted all-natural zymöl wax provides a tough protective layer and a sparkling depth of shine.

Delighting the Senses

Many people comment on the wonderful aromatic scents of almond, cinnamon and coconut oils when applying the waxes. Applying these waxes by hand has taken many owners to a new level of involvement with their pride and joy. As one of our customers said: "It is the best way of spending a three-hour holiday with your car!"

Cars, Boats, Bikes, Planes.

Zymöl products can be used on all marques of cars including SUVs. The products are safe for all paint finishes, including new clear-coats, acrylic, urethanes and classic lacquers. Certain Zymöl applications are specifically designed for boats, yachts, motorbikes, bicycles and aircraft.

Zymöl has a loyal following across a broad spectrum of individuals. It has its disciples amongst football players, horse trainers, TV comedians and presenters, captains of industry, as well as serious motorsport enthusiasts.

It has been described by American car enthusiasts as "the best grooming system on the market." Zymöl has protected more US Concours winning cars than any other wax, including Ralph Lauren's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance winning Bugatti Type 57 SC.

Estate Glazes should be applied with your hands.

Atlantique Glaze is based on a custom formula developed for Ralph Lauren’s 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantique. As with many zymöl prepared cars in other years, the Bugatti won "Best of Show" at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 1990. The protective ingredients in Atlantique are clove, coconut, cinnamon bark and sunflower oils. Atlantique contains 60 percent Brazilian No. 1 White Carnauba by volume.

How to Apply Atlantique Estate Glaze Properly:

1. Put a very small amount of the glaze to the palm of your hand. Use the warmth of your hands to melt the Carnauba. With your hand, gently apply the glaze in a light, even pattern over no more than three or four square feet of painted surface.

2. Let Atlantique stand for up to five minutes.

3. Using moderate to heavy pressure, wipe very slowly with a terry towel (folded once) to a brilliant luster before wax is totally dry.

4. Wait three to four hours, then lightly buff the paint again to perfect the shine.

8oz.
