Car Wash + Vaccuum = Ruined Seat

I was on my way home the other day when a bird decided to drop the worlds largest poo onto my hood and windshield. It was blazing hot and I was feeling lazy so I headed to my local car wash.
20 minutes later and i'm zooming down the road. When I get home and get out I catch something on the seat out of the corner of my eye....

Sorry for the pic, it's a camera phone.
Only one of the scratches can be seen here, the rest are in the shadows.
There's a total of 7-8 scratches of varying depths all over the driver seat... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I head back to the carwash and they're very nice about it. They see the car is babied and don't even question that it was their fault.

Now I have an appt to see their leather shop and see what they can do.
Should I hold out for a whole new front seat? Should I let them try to recover it (if they even offer that), or should I see about maybe having them two tone the front seats?

bummer they messed up your seat. Don't go overboard with wanting 2-tone seats. If their 'leather guy' can redo the seat, thenI'd say that's a victory.

Just got back from the repair place, Bascom Trim and Upholstery.

Seems like a very clean place, and the work that I saw makes me feel like I'm in good hands.

I took your advice and decided not to push my luck and get bossy. Repair back to original will be fine by me.

Scratches for the vaccum hoses and metal tips they use.

If you've been wanting 2-tone leather, you could tell them that, and see if they would deduct the cost of repair from the cost of 2-tone.
