Bug blisters on front end bumper

2004 rx8 velocity red 15,000 miles, original owner.

Hi everyone, I am new to the thread, and wondered if anyone had any suggestions for fixing my bumper. Last summer I had an appt. to get my car detailed, so I put off cleaning it, and ended up with some nasty looking holes on my front end. It looks like the clear coar has blistered or cracked in some areas. They arent horrible, but I know they are there, and it drives me nuts.
I took it to the delearship and they did a horrible job at touching them up, the paint didnt even match. So today, i took some paint thinner and used a qtip to remove all of it, and then went over it with a 1000 grit ord finer paint product(wizards turbo cut compound) on my finger. With some elbow grease it made it look better, but the paste which is white stayed in the little crevices, it took me forever to do this little spot though.
My plans tommorrow is to take 1000 and 2000 grit wet auto sandpaper by hand and hit it again with a dremel tool and turbo cut, sounds extreme, but I dont want to use a big buffer, the spots are so little. Finishing with the compound again, and then applying a wax.
When I took it to have them give me an estimate they told me it would be around 800 to repaint it, and the guy told me that the way that factory paint jobs are done that it would be better if I waited to have something happen to the front end then for me to have it repainted by them.
Anyway, there are a lot of little pits so hopefully someone can help me out here. I will post a pic if I have time tommorrow.
Thanks in advance.

If you are going to pay 800, dont sound like you want to, I would just go ahead and get a mazdaspeed front piece. Those run about 1100$ or so already painted.

Man i thought i had low miles on my 04 at 27,000 miles.
Only 15K miles sheesh.

You might want to consider posting on the rx8 parts for sale/wanted. Someone might be selling a front bumper in your color. What color is it by the way?

I just finished touching up the front end with touch up clear, and I cant believe it worked...i will post pics tommorrow. The white spots were caused by where the bug guts had been and removed my clear coat. I thought I needed to sand it down to stop the clear coat from coming up more, but the touch up paint soaked into it and the white edges disappeared, whoo hoo!!
Going to make sure enough clear is on there and then use a fine grit to sand it down level. Do I need to wait a week before I sand it?
