I have experimented with an acrylic sealant similar to Klasse and Zaino.. it's called Crystal Glo, and I noticed that it gives a distinct sheen.. or shine that "pops" .. it's hard to describe but looks like a shell of candy..

Anyway although I liked the shine I missed the dark richness of the Meguiars system .. formerly I had been using the Deep Crystal System Polish with NXT wax over top with great results.

Presently I've been using the Deep Crystal System Polish under and between coats of the acrylic sealant. This seems to reduce the "candy coating" look... restoring a deeper shade, while retaining the high gloss.

Results look great over the short term (immediately and over a few weeks). Has anyone else done something like this? Does anyone have personal experience with whether or not the long term durability of the sealant is compromised in any way by the polish???

Polishes prep the surface for protection... it helps the protection (sealant/wax) bond tot he paint. Polishing also produce the "shiney" result (sealants and waxes do not create the looks, mostly protection only). But i have to use a paint cleanser (liek Klasse AIO) after i polish so the surface is smoother and easier for the protectant to bond.
