stock tires
Hi all, was curious about how the sp2050 stock tires hold up. I want to track tomorrow, but just realized my tires (my track set) are pretty toast. So I can either cancel or run my stock tires, which are pretty much new. I got rims that week so they have like 50 miles on them or something. Ha.
I know they'll be down on grip compared to my 275s but will they get greasy and not even be fun?
Thanks for anyone who can chime in.

Momentum Keeps Me Going
New street tires aren't the best for track. Too much tread = too much heat...and esp. for a street tire ..and never intended for track duty. It's a perfect storm of nos...but you knew that. Why not tone the pace down on purpose, concentrating on perfect lines every corner. Going 7/10s can be ok if you have a plan, things to do to play with the car and how it handles, and then stick to it so your tires don't turn to smoking, melted, chunked donuts ready for recycling
