NC Help

Hey guys, sorry to revive an old thread but I have a problem.

Does anyone know the size and thread of the bolt that you put the wheel on to? The nut I have is messed up and I have another on the way from Mazda but I'm going to try and run a tap down it before putting the new one on. The nut was 21mm I believe but I can't find a tap set that will fit the bolt.

If anyone happens to be around the Charlotte area of NC and would like to come take a look they can. What happened was the hub went down a little further than the stock wheel did, so when I tried to put the bolt on it spun it down to where the nut was smooth on the inside. The bolt doesn't look THAT bad, and could probably take the nut fine, but I just want to be sure, so I want to tap it.

Thanks!

Quick question using the NRG short hub. What would happen if instead of drilling holes into the hub I just rotate the steering angle sensor 90 degrees and so that the plastic pins are vertical to match up with the hub? Would this cause any issues? Would calibrating the steering via lock to lock make this work?

Just thought it would be easier than drilling holes into the hub.

Yes this caused the DSC light to stay on because the centre is calibrated by the silver ring. The silver ring is apart of the plastic pins (yellow plastic). Also your indicator would not cancel properly. I tried using the computer to reset the steering sensor without luck before drilling. The silver ring actually has a main centre slot.

Sorry to re-revive thread, but I'm having the same problem now, however I used a Works Bell hub that lets you retain the Clock spring. Which confuses me, would the clock spring have these indents in it? I'm a bit confused on how this would line up correctly with clock spring intact. Thanks!

True..it should not matter because the clock spring maintains the stock position on the steering. The works bell should just fit on the spline shaft for the steering.

Unhappy

Hi guys, I recently bought NRG hub with NRG steering wheel, but I have problem with airbag light. Couldn't find answer anywhere, so trying here.
Yesterday I removed original airbag connector and replaced it with two 2ohm resistors. However airbag light is still blinking... Any ideas?
I didn't start the engine, but it's not neccesary right? Just put key to second(?) position.

Here is how it looks now:
