And that it didn't work for me on the track

Only if the rules/circumstance allows the option. I'm now in the predicament that dannobre was pre-surge tank. My idea is to move the main pump to the passenger side with a second pump in the driver side pumping over to that side ( rather than than the typical reverse). Ultimately I want more weight in the RH saddle for ballast purposes.

If you are reversing the fuel system I'm guessing you will lose the venturi system. How are you planning on keeping the pumps from running dry. Unless you return fuel to both sides.

it would be the same either direction...you can run the siphon the other direction as well.

The issue is how to get enough fuel into the pump to keep it primed....

If your fuel upgrade pumps more fuel out of the cup...with no increase in in-flow...you will have issues

I think that dumping the second pump output into a modified "cup" will result in the best result for a car that you can't run a surge setup. It worked OK for me up to DOT slicks on tracks with short duration corners NA...it just didn't work for slicks on longer sustained corners with the turbo
