The RB version looks to be a much improved version of Mazsports. Not much details on the Corksport dual res pipe yet. I believe they said it will be around $300.

The message below is at the bottom of this page :http://racingbeat.com/FRmazda4.htm

Quote:
New Product Update - January 2009
RX-8 Resonated Race Pipe

Over the past few months we've received a number of requests for a version of our popular stainless steel race pipe that is a bit quieter than the current model. In the recent past we had been providing some of our universal presilencers to Mazsport which they included in their own resonated race pipe, but unfortunately it appears that they've ceased doing business.

After reviewing the resonated race pipe that they offered, we decided to produce our own resonated version. One of the issues that the guys at Mazsport faced was that the length of our universal presilencers were just bit too long for the RX-8 application. Although you could fit two presilencers onto the race pipe, clearances under the chassis were very tight and a spacer block was required to provide adequate clearance between a presilencer and one of the chassis braces.

Faced with these concerns, we designed a new, shorter presilencer unit that we could use on our version of the race pipe and avoid clearance issues or the requirement of a spacer block.

If everything goes as planned, we should be able to have these completed unit in February or March. Check back for updates and pricing.

Yeah the car is beyond loud... So if anyone has a mazsport mid pipe for sale, please let me know..or hell if you want to trade or something because this AP mid pipe sounds pretty good with a racing beat exhaust or something. It's just too loud for my single HKS exhaust...it's just...it's a monster. literally.

So looking for Mazsport midpipe.

Meantime, will call RB on Monday (or Tues if not around) and see whats the deal with theirs...

Is that the AP Dual Resonated? If so I thought the DR was supposed to be just a little louder than stock??? Or do you have a non-resonated?

I sent Corksport a message in support of this in January. I already have their catback. I'll just be waiting for the midpipe.

Yeah I talked to Derrick and it sounds good, but I'm just going to get a RB header and midpipe. May as well close this thread since I have it on preorder now.

As for the question, yeah it's dual resonated..but RB was telling me it all depends the size of the resonators..the material used..etc. So..yeah it's dual resonated..but it's still louder then a shotgun CONSTANTLY going off.
