sorry I missed that.My car had 50,000 miles when I bought it and the guy said he changed the exhaust when it had 32,000.So that would give it 18,000 miles on exhaust.

Not sure if I've ever seen a "knock off" of that exhaust...
Looks genuine enough to me. Mazdaspeed offered 2 mufflers - "sport sound" (this one), and the dual muffler one that most are used to seeing.

There are two versions of the Mazdaspeed catback for the RX8.
The Version I only had one large muffler, while the Version II had two smaller mufflers.
The picture above is from a Version II (I think it may be my photo, which is okay to use
). OP's pictures look an awful lot like the Version I muffler but I don't know what tell signs the V1 really had, as the V1 looks lose to OEM in the first place.
