I know it's a long shot, but mine was damaged and I'm having a tough time finding a place that will fix it. I'm also not willing to spend a couple hundred bucks to have a shop try and repair it, only to have them possibly make it worse (as a couple shops confirmed to me).
Also, if anyone has suggestions on where to source one, I'd be grateful.
RX8Soldier if you can find me some better black mesh screens that will work with the front bumper I have oem brand new screens (I actually have a whole new oem front bumper that I can take them off of)
Good luck.
I've been looking for the mesh screen for almost a year, with no results
I've been meaning to replace my mesh as well. Can't we just buy universal mesh and cut it to the same size as the MS stuff? I was just going to get some from customcargrills.com . Should be better quality than what came with the MS bumper in the first place...

^I thought of that, as well. However, I couldn't find one that looked oem. Most of the mesh I found looked too "bulky". Though, I'm **** about those types of things, so you may have better luck
if you have a local buddy with a mazdaspeed front...
take the black plastic piece out and vacuum form the piece using plexi(plexi might not work, sometimes it makes bubbles) or another type of plastic and form the piece. Then just cut it out and bam.
you could probably do it in less than 10 minutes, and this achieves a near perfect replica of the bar. Then you could even sell it to people who have replica bumpers and make bank.
Just replace the truck in the video with the plastic piece from the bumper.. assuming its small enough to fit into an oven. You may need to make friends with a pizzeria owner

This is actually a good idea, providing there is nothing illegal about using an authentic part as a template in which to replicate, produce and sell...

Definitely a creative solution. Not sure how feasible it would be with this piece, but I guess it could work with the right kind of material.
I went to my 3rd body shop yesterday (a Porsche/BMW shop) and they told me that they could probably fix it. I'm gonna take the piece off the bumper this weekend and see what they can do. They did say they'd probably paint it a matte black afterwards to hide any orange peel effect from the heat, or whatever.
BUT, I'm still on the lookout for one of these, so let me know guys!
