I wanted a stock intake on my 8 so I removed my K&N Typhoon intake. There is nothing wrong with it and I recently cleaned and recharged the filter. The silver insulation on the back of the heat shield is still intact, I just didn't take a picture of it but I can if you'd like me to. PM me if you have any questions.
