I've had the SP2 on my car since 2 months after I bought it. It fits perfectly. You can't make the exhaust any bigger and still fit it inside the stock rear end. I haven't experienced any melting either. It has one f the best sounds too, although it is a little too loud for some people. Be careful though, it will shoot fire from time to time so be ready to clean the soot off. I think I have some pics of it on my myspace.
