BeatRush Shift Collar

Category: Accessories
Price: $35
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I
Location (US State/Canada/Int): PA
Item Condition: New

Have a BeatRush Shift Collar for a Series I RX8 that I'm looking to get rid of. Purchased from GoodWin Racing who stated that it would work for my 2010 model. Got it and just as I figured it didn't even come close to fitting. I did find one that fit my model (went with one for a 06-~ Miata) and I have to say this make's shifting so much smoother! I'll let it go for $35.00 w/shipping included. If you want overnight shipping then you will have to pay for the shipping at that point. Hit me up with any questions.

Reduces a lot of play in the shifter; kind of hard to explain but it's less 'squishy'

I don't mind posting a pic of the instructions but I'll be honest with you they are all in Japanese!LOL I came on here to find out how to get apart my center console and how to put it in...not very hard at all, took me a total of 30 minutes to do it. Basically once you get your shifter out you take off the nylon one that is attached to the bottom of your stock shifter. You then place this down into your transmission first as this one doesn't hold itself on like the stock one does. You then lower your shifter into the collar that is already in the transmission and then place the shifter plate back on that has the three screws and tighten it down, place everything back together again in regards to you console and there ya go all done and buttoned up. Like I had stated I got this one on the word from GoodWin that it would fit but the Series II went with the Miata tranny so I had to use the shift collar for the Miata instead. I love it!!! The shifts are spot on and at high RPM it goes right into gear without a hitch!

I'm interested but if the instructions aren't in English how will you know if it's installed correctly? Would you take a money order?

Yeah it's really simple. Basically it goes on the same one the nylon one comes off.

Thanks for posting the update Limpbozkit! I apologize that I didn't get back to it but we had a sudden death in the family and it just totally slipped my mind. Glad to hear that you have everything installed and I know you will notice the difference. I absolutely love mine, just wish that the first one I purchased would have fit my car.LOL
