X-Men car pics (01.04)

Here are a few pics from the public show today.
Click the image to open in full size.

- There's too much space in the wheel wells, seems worse than other pictures. I hope the final car is significantly lower.
- The blue paint job is really nice, Mazda should really consider offering it. It has a slight pearly red tint depending on the light.
- My guess is this car is based on the yellow prototype. Certain parts, like the rear light housing, looked handmade.
- Obviously they didn't want risk someone jumping the rail and making off with the shifter ****

GODDAMN MAZDA MARKETING PEOPLES !!!! Why can't they offer this exterior colour and interiour colour as a standard??? This colour combination is just what I want and it makes me spending a lot of extra €'s to repaint the car and change those leather inserts into grey one's...

Hmm, veddy intedestink! Looks like the radiator is mounted so low that a big license plate in the center grille won't really affect airflow to the radiator. Good stuff.

I'd still leave the license plate off the front though, for aesthetic reasons.

Wow! Pretty sweet! I quite like the spoiler even thought there is probably little aerodynamic benefit. Good news about the license plate.

Holy ****, that interior is so nice I can smell it. Why the hell don't they offer gray interior on the production car? It looks 1,000,000 times better than that yucky tan color....

Also, whose car is it going to be? I keep hearing both Wolverine and Cyclops, which one is it?

The Mazda release said it was Cyclops' car, but I'm sure Wolverine is going to steal it (just like the Cyclops' moto), that is why he is driving it in the movie trailer.

I haven't posted here in a longggg while. But im usually found on the other forum I personally like the looks of the RX-8 and the fact that the X-Men are using this car is definitely sweeet. I can't wait to see the movie and the car itself. Anyone else diggin that blue?

According to the press release, it's called "Mutant Blue". The purplish highlights are a little hard to see in these pictures. Reminds me of some finishes I've seen on vintage hot rods. Very cool.
