my car was covered in about 1/2 inch of ice.

it happens to our boats, on a much smaller scale, up in AK.....or at least it would if we didn't try to prevent it.

I think something like that happened recently in Toronto. Because of the extreme cold during last week's snow storm ... some water mains broke and some poor guy's car was right infront when the water came out. So in the morning, the guy and his son had to go at the ice with ice picks. Some minor paint damage. Sorry I could find the link but it looked similar to the above pic.

Neither a Boxster or an MR2 - it's an MG MGF (manufactured mid-90s to current (although the upgraded current version is the MGTF)), never sold in North America.
