Two-colour look?

The RX-8 have IMHO more than a hint of the good old Lotus Seven in his lines...and a look in two colours would highlight this.

I've tried it with a pencil, but maybe there's somebody out there who can do that much better in silver/dark titanium...

Thanks B-Nez, great pictures. It would be great if you could make a silver one with titanium wheelarches...

Many thanks from Germany...

Good to know I wasn't the only one to notice the resemblance in the RX-8's schnoz.

I also thought the 8 would look cool with a two tone paint effect. Nice job with the flames!:D

If you're still doing those B-Nez (excellent job by the way), could you do me a Yellow/black one, as such a car would probably go really well with the other two in my garage which are also yellow & black.

(A 2001 MX-5 California and a 1973 Ford Capri GXL with black vinyl roof if anyone cares.)

Okay, Stefan and AJ

Here's silver/titanium and yellow/black (what do you run your own taxi service?)

Click the image to open in full size. Click the image to open in full size.

I think the silver/tit looks kinda neat, but the yellow/blk, red/blk, tit/blk don't really appeal to me.

Edit: Oops, I forgot to mask out the side marker...sorry

You know I 've alway thought that there was a strong connection there also!

Does anyone remember the old british t.v. show "The Prisoner"? In the opening sequence was it a Lotus 7 ... or a Westerfield or Caterham 7 - What do I know, I'm just a guy from Detroit ...

Hey, does anyone else think there's a resemblance with the old (4door) Avanti?

Indeed, I thought exactly the same thing when I first saw a front 3/4 view of the RX-8. The front fenders and tapered hood styling cues are definitely intended to be reminiscent of the Super Seven.

Thankyou kindly sir. No, I don't run a taxi service, and in any case I live in the UK, where all black (and noisy and diesel) is a taxi, and nobody drives yellow cars.

People usually ask me if I'm just obsessed with Jordan F1, but I'd never really thought of it that way before they said it.

Also, thanks for taking the trouble to alter the interior too, I'm really pissed off that they've decided not to do that interior for real after teasing me with it in all the publicity shots.

In all honesty the interior automatically altered with the car body, so it was no trouble at all. I had forgotten that your taxis are all black, haven't lived in the UK since '97.
