So I wrapped up a business trip and left Harrisonburg VA at 6am yesterday for the drive home to RI...and decided that with 63 degrees, partly cloudy, that early on a Sunday morning, I would detour to Skyline Drive.
And I am forever grateful I did. Barely anyone there (though I did see, and stop to chat with the owner of, another 8) Kept stopping to take pics, so here they are. I have quite a bit of video, though have to chop it up still, so I'll get that up later.
My only regret is that I couldn't clean/detail my 8 before this. Only a quick wash off at a do-it-yourself car wash. 650 miles of driving, 500 miles from home didn't leave the front bumper looking that great, so no close up shots

Thanks for the comments all. I worked more than usual on the lighting/background, but mother nature made it hella easy on me

Hehe, not to pick bones, but this is ~500 miles from RI. This is the mountain range that makes up the eastern border of the Shenandoah valley in western Virginia, about 1 hour west of Washington DC. Skyline Drive is a 102 mile road that runs along the top of it with 70+ scenic overlooks.
Only two downsides are:
1) it is regularly patrolled by park rangers, and those nasty federal speeding tickets. (No, still haven't gotten any )
2) generally alot of hikers, campers, sightseers, and other forms of slow pokes. Fortunately, there is frequent dotted yellow sections, and this was all prior to 8am on a Sunday. The only other people up were bikers, who kindly yielded and let me by whenever I encountered them. And the other 8 owner. He and his wife (terrible with ages, maybe 50s?) were out for an early drive and hike before hitting a Dulles auto show.

They may look slow, but I was WELL over the speed limit most of the time, so wasn't about to push it farther and get arrested by a bored park ranger. I kept stopping for pictures too
