They aren't dark chrome--they have a different type of sheen on them--like 2 shades shinier than ours but 4 shades from chrome. They definately are not chrome though--closer to polished.

Looks great, much better than i thought to be honest.
I think if i could change one thing it would be to match the steering wheel and handbrake leather with the rest of the car. But what do i know. :p

Hey TopGear,
Is that spoiler an option or something in canada? My shinka doesn't have a spoiler at all and I kinda like that one. I've had my shinka for about 2-3 weeks and have not gotten to see her in the sun yet, only gotten to put about 20 miles total on the car as the weather here is still pretty awful.

it's just a tan interior rx8, nothing special right????
i mean i don't really know much about it, what's the different between the front lip spoiler than the regular front lip spoiler? are those wheels lighter? is this one faster?

No, it's the same RX-8 as the others. I saw the Shinka and it was priced at 34,000. I'm not sure why since it doesn't even have the Nav. The dealer can get any color leather seats put in for $900-$1200. Anybody can check out the color of the Shinka by looking at the Miatas. It is the exact paint job the standard Miata has.

Rear Spoiler
Hi Umbra -
I think the dealer's have some flexibility in putting together the Shinka package - my car came with a rear spoiler but no sunroof - I'll have to get an aftermarket one.
Have fun with your new car - congrats on your purchase.

Congrats on your new shinka!!!!!
I just got one last week.....and you are right about the color on the MazdaUSA website....its nothing like the actual color.....looks more like a burgandy on the web.....but I do like the black cherry and it handles extremely well.
good luck with yours

I'm madly in love with my 40AE... but if I were to have a second bucket list Rx8 this would be it 100%. Something about the way the interior tan and exterior colors play off each other. Perfection!
