Looks like it may be a rear fog light... I like it.

yeah, it's a foglight. Every pic I've seen of the 8 has one...so I would think we'll be seeing it, too.

the red car was the first RX-8. Several things were changed between the red one and the yellow one, including the rotor shaped fog light. The yellow car is very close to the production version, so the fog light may stick around.

I have only seen those lights on euro cars. I have a lancer EVO VI and mine does not have them but the Lancers in euro all have them. built into the rear bumper.

that is why I was suprized to see it on the RX8, and I have not seen any other cars in the states with those lights also.

I do like the new lines of the trunk on the yellow rx8 vs the red one. gives a more sleek line.

actually, many Mercedes and Volvo's have them built in now...except they are in with the regular brake light cluster, so it looks like they have a broken brake light.

The only time I've seen one that seperated, was on an older Porsche 911, and it was kinda at an angle by the exhaust...sure didn't look stock.

The red light under the yellow rx-8 is a rear fog light, which is mandatory in Europe, thats why many cars from the old continent that we see are equipped with those.

i actually like the amber turn signals...it makes it easier for the person behind you to tell wether u are braking or changing lanes, i've notices that most jap cars have them anyways

I like the yellow RX8 much better than the red one. It's not so much the color, but the other things like the tail lights, exhaust pipes, and also the rotor brake light is a nice touch.

I hope the US version will look more like the yellow car pictured above.

The tails on the red one are too white. I hate Altezzas and those are the more Altezza looking than the tails on the Yellow RX8.
