long story short i'm looking for a new trunk (unless i decide to fix my stock one). i can't decide if i like the look of cf on BB 8's, but i'd really like the weight savings. so if anyone has a cf trunk (i'll take hoods too since that'll probably be more common) on a black 8, please post. oh, preferably no spoiler, as that is the look i'm going for now.

i remember that thread - i like the look of that on silver too. not sure i would try it tho on a bb, but maybe i can photoshop something, the idea is kinda growing on me
ya know, i remember seeing the cf roof on the bmw m6, it looked pretty sweet. altho i think the roof is a little more subtle than the hood/trunk.

thanks top gear. seeing that def made me not want a cf hood, it's just too much i think, it's takes away from the cleanliness of the 8's lines i think. BUT, i've always liked the idea of getting a cf hood, and painting all of it bb except the little rotary indention -- i think someone's done that actually, but that would look sweet i think.
a cf trunk will be hard to find ...

^^ looks good man, that's my favorite a/m hood. it looks good, but def too much cf for my taste. i think i'd have to paint all but the rotary section...thanks!!

Keep in mind that CF hoods and trunks require great care. If you don't take good care of them, they may change colors as well. In my opinion, I think black does not flow well with CF.
