Yea i was keeping it under 2500rpms as i drove off because it was maddeningly loud. Also that was a 4th gear pass from over 1/4mi away. So yea its loud. I'd swap another mid pipe in after the track.

I posted all of my mods in the video's description:
Racing Beat Header
ExoticSpeed Race Pipe
HKS HiPower Catback

More are in my vimeo cache which is linked off my blog.
Yeah, I was waiting for that other video to load, and as soon as it did, I was like, well crap. Time to edit that post, haha.

That may be what I do. How much of a pain is it to do? I already have to swap brakes after the track days.

That's just ridiculously incredible. Reminds me, my friend's Saturn, you literally could hear it from over a 1/4 mi away. It was awesome getting next to anyone talking on the phone, or just anyone you wanted to **** off, and you could drag the brakes to give it a bit more throttle, and all of a sudden they couldn't hear their phone conversation anymore. Alright, that's the douchebag in me coming out.

But for real, were some of those passes WOT, like the first one, and when you turned the camera the other way, was that WOT when you took off?

In this video:

Ah, so the only difference in exhaust between that video and the other street ported video was the mid pipe?

Bump!

Does the HKS Catback bolt straight up to the stock exhaust, otherwise?

I just installed mine a couple weeks ago and I love it. A lot. I left my cat on, and I can't imagine how loud it would be without it. Most people tell me it sounds like a huge crotch rocket when I get on it at higher RPM. It has a great bellow at low RPM as well. But at the same time, I can cruise at 3-4K and it's nice and quiet. It really just depends on if your feeding it gas or not.

Installation is a snap. I swapped it out in my garage, alone, in about two hours. The worst part was getting the hangers off, and even that wasn't bad.

I was hoping SOMEONE would put it on with a stock cat!! Do you have videos or cruising vs WOT?

Does it have just a muffler in the rear, or does it also have a resonator in the mid pipe section between the cat and muffler?

Do you guys think a silencer can be installed in the tail pipe for street use?

I have the HKS hi power on mine with the stock cat and header. You can hear some clips of it in this video. Yes there is only 1 muffler on it in the rear section. The way it is designed it would be very hard to add a silencer in the tip. If you wan to order one let us know, we can get you a great deal on one!

Here is another video from outside. This is when the car only had the Cat-back and that was it.

I got the HKS hi-power installed. It does drone a bit from 2500-3000 rpms (~50-60mph), but 65mph+ it quiets down. overall volume with stock header and cat is very reasonable. I feel it's the perfect volume for track/autocross, and it's livable for everyday use (I am sound sensitive and I find it mostly pleasant). it has nice burbles on deceleration and loud pops during some 9,000 rpm shifts at the track. fitment was great, and it's light and looks nice. perfect for an enthusiast prioritizing performance and track use.
