Most Original Costume

Who's your daddy?

My wife tasked me with building a car for my kid's Halloween costume. I started thinking of a cute Miata, but then it occurred to me that a Star Mazda racecar would look better. When I asked my kid what color he wanted, he said "orange... and green.... and blue". Orange and green couldn't be more perfect. He randomly chose 43 for the number. In the end he took "most original" in my city contest. No more 1st, 2nd and 3rd in today's overly PC world...what a shame. Anyways it's all from scratch...a Huggies box, rice cooker box and a Beck's beer box along with styrofoam, tape, tape, paper mache, toothpicks and paint. I'll have to hang it on my garage wall.

Oh yeah and special thanks to the Hispanic couple at Sevenstock who gave me their rotary patch. You can barely see it on his costume.

Enjoy.

Great job. Now just wait till he is in Cub Scouts and you get to make him a Mazda P2 for his Pinewood Derby car.

I didn't. If you look closely he's actually holding a roll of "sweet tarts" and it looks like his thumb.
