23,000 yen is $190 US.

For a rough estimate of the Yen-$US you can do in your head, simply divide by 100 (take off the last two zeros)

23,000 ~= 230.00

I usually only check the exact conversion rate when I'm ready to buy, as the money market does go up and down daily.
